Apparently if your child is in the top of his class in Marion school district one, PDA must have given him a pretty good foundation. My child goes to public school in Marion School district one and is ranked in the top of his class great SAT scores and is doing great. He is in 10th grade now, when he attended PDA he was was not treated like the other students. MSD1 has a great public education program!!!

I have been professionally and personally associated with PDA as well as public schools in Marion and Horry Counties since 1963. PDA stands out in quality of education, focused students, faculty, administration, and families. Parents are very supportive, involved, and are heard by the board and administration.
... Read more The focus is on academics, a sound, safe, moral environment with concerns set on developing the 'whole student'. This includes sports, academics, leadership, christianity, social, and moral development. It truly is the best valued education available with the cost being minimal as compared to the money spent in public education. Public schools are quick to implement 'new' unproved and experimental practices and curriculum whereas PDA still produces academic excellence with tried and true practices and concepts with successful graduates going into a variety of colleges and professions. Parents are willing to pay taxes and also tuition to provide the best education for their children. Read less

PDA's academic scores on my record are A+! My little brother goes to PDA has he has become a different person. AT PDA the teachers are very skilled and help you one-to-one if you need the extra help. ... Read more the weather is inclement, rather that sitting in a classroom watching a video during that time. Parent involvement is encouraged and my husband and I have enjoyed the opportunities. We would greatly love to see the children with a stricter uniform-like dress code to eliminate the obsession with being a fashion plate, children as young as the kindergarteners dress to impress. The upper school kids have modesty issues. They are there to learn, not emulate bratz dolls, this only hurts feelings. Individuality can be expressed in academic achievement, helpfulness, and a sunny dispoition rather than clothing. Read less

I would agree that Pee Dee Acadamy is by far the best choice in schools for the area. The teachers truly care about the students and their academic and personal growth. It is very safe and I would recommend it to anyone.

Pee Dee is the best place for a child to get an education in Marion County. The classes are smaller so the teacher has more time to deal with students on an individual basis. The staff is just an added benefit. All employees are very giving and interested in seeing the children be all they can. Discipline

Advanced Placement
