This school is clearly in the dark ages. They do not communicate very well, they are still stuck on sending generic letters via US Post and using a Phone tree to call and leave automated messages on your answering machine when your out. Email is not utilized to communicate with parents and it is difficult

They seem to only take direction from the student hand book. I have had issues with two teachers not returning my calls but I'm expected to drop everything to run to the schools beck and call when they need something. Also, I have never been notified about programs or events in a timely manner and have yet to be contacted about opportunities or summer programs that would assist my child with advancing in his future education. I would send my child to a private school if I had the option. Read less

I recently attended Lake City High School and I believe that it is a very good school. The teachers are great and help you when they can. Mr. Yarabourgh has been great and he really shows when he is proud of his students. He lets them know and thats makes us feel like we are appreciated. The activities

The students appear to focus on everything but thier education. It appears that the teachers are trying to be their buddy and less of an educator. The leaders beginning from the superintendent to the school's pricipal appear to be unconcern and less supportive of the lack of education the students

Unsure of my child's safety. Very violent children. Lock out rules are crazy, too many kids missing important class time because of it. It appears that the leaders are scared of the followers.
