My husband and I both volunteer in the classroom and feel very welcomed from the time we step foot on school property. ... Read more at the warm welcome that I received. Everyone from the custodial staff to the cafeteria workers were welcoming and friendly. Dr. Brockhardt is a wonderful principal who sincerely cares for all the students at her school. My children both have teachers that are phenomenal. The communtication between teachers and parents is great. I can (and have) e-mailed my children's teachers with questions and get answers the same day. I can't say enough good things about the school. If you are moving to the area, you owe it to your kids to visit Ballentine Elementary! Read less

My children attended both Ballentine and River Springs. I am not impressed with either schools, they tend not to push African American children in the correct directions. For example, the second grade teacher thought my child's expectations were to high. My second grader wanted to reach the high expectation

Advanced Placement

Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
