I have a first grader and a third grade at Indian Land Elementary and we love it. It is a tightly run ship but the kids learn at a early age to behave. There does not seem to be too many discipline problems because they are caught early. The Principles are all wonderful and really want to make it a

I went to IL and now have 7 nieces and nephews enrolled as well as my own 2 children. We are very pleased and happy with IL. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is crowded even with the new middle school and high school but the county is trying to resolve the issues with another elementary school

Friendly enough atmosphere, however, not a day goes by that I don't find at least one spelling error from my children's teachers! It is very difficult for me to take seriously a teacher who spells 'continuous' as 'continueous' and misuses 'except' where 'accept' should be used. I look forward to the

We've lived in Indian Land for three years now, and hoping to Sell soon. We have been very disappointed with the school system here. My kids are A/B students and are so stressed out. If they don't do this or that in such in such way it's walking the playground at recess or silent lunch for this or

The teachers seem to have the attitude 'That's not my problem' so many big issues are being overlooked while their trying to run their military boot camp. I've seen no actual caring or accountablily by the school. They expect the children to be held accountable but yet it seems that theirs a lot of things going on at this school that parents don't know about? They'll punish, judge and put your child on trial. I'm loving the new Principal! I'm seeing positive changes already...less than a month into the school year. This is what our school needed. The teachers have always been the asset to the school. Going without a Principal last year and switching Principals the year before....the school lacked focus.

I'm sorry to read that Indian Land has not changed in years. The last two comments I just read are exactly why I left the school (and more) and enrolled my children elsewhere. When my children entered their new school they were shocked at the challenging curriculum and were not given the false sense

Moving was a definite shock at first but now they are caught up, challenged, getting better grades because of it and will be better prepared for college. Indian Land is one of the most beautiful places to live but apparently the school's academics and social protocol has not caught up with the rest of the area. The last two reviews are so right ,this is the worst school. All they care about is dress code and raising money, then you pay for every litte thing on top of it. We came from another school system and this school just pales in comparison. My kids are stressed out about the PACT testing. At the kids last school, the teachers emphasized that the state tests are given just to grade the teachers, not the students. They encourage the students to do their best,
