I have a child at CTE. He loves it there and so do I. I went to a large school and I still don't know half the people that I graduated with. I am envolved with the PTO and wish that more parents and teachers and staff would be more envolved it PTO also. But I love the teachers and all of the staff.

Now that school is almost out and my child is moving on to High School, I can be frank. Compared to Diamond Hill Elementary, Cherokee Trails is a joke. I find the teachers to be caring and competent. However, I agree that there is entirely too much intimidation and verbal assaults at elementary aged children there. I think this school is the best in the district! We have great adminstrational staff! They support the students and teachers. This shows up in the awards of Palmetto Silver award for 2 years.

There are some extremely loving, caring, and competent teachers on staff there. The weak link is in the administration. Discipline consists of screaming, yelling, and verbal humiliation of the kids until they are in tears. Administration is aware, just doesn t take corrective action. The problem has ...  Read more
