First Baptist Christian School

Some of the teachers are fabulous, others not so much. Communication isn’t great at all. We felt welcome and were asked to volunteer for many things, then made to feel unwelcome, bullied, and pushed out after a few years. We always heard great things about this school and they just haven’t been great.

My son recently graduated from OLM, and I am highly confident that he will maintain a substantial competitive edge as he enters high school. The pandemic, along with other challenges faced by our family, had a major impact on our son’s performance and grades, particularly during the school closure period. The OLM administration, along with all of the teachers, strategically and decisively reopened the school so that the children could be brought back to an in-person learning environment without jeopardizing safety. It was such an organized and strategic operation. During it all, every teacher, including the principal, demonstrated how much they cared about our son’s performance, including constant evaluation and daily check-ins. They went so far above and beyond — more than demonstrating that Christian values at OLM are not just “talk” but rather are rooted in constant action. As our son enters the high school chapter of his life, I am deeply grateful for how much OLM did for our young boy, ensuring that this delightful young man has all of the best educational preparation and instillment of core values as he enters high school.
