Your experience at AT Levy will vary greatly, depending on who your child's teacher is. The secretaries and others at the school will quickly learn who you are if you are at all active with the school and you will always be warmly greeted. If you get the right teachers, your child will excel. The lack of a gifted program is unfortunate and the services for special education I have found to be OK other parents rave about them. They are also very strict about noise control in the cafeteria, telling the kids not to talk, which I wasn t a big fan of. The teachers union is a problem here, just like everywhere else. Read less

This school ia great but they could do better with spedcial education services in the summmer so the students can continue with their IEP during the summer vacation. ... Read more teacher sends me an email every week and I love this. Parental suppor is outstanding, the parents are didicated to the students and the school. This year the teachers just do as there contract says nothing extra this is a big problem this year. I wish the school committee could get their acts together................. Read less

i too disagree. we just moved here, obviously a major choice in which towns to look at were schools. i find the school to be great. my dgt is in k, and she gets homework every night. granted only 10 minutes, but it does reinforce what she did in school and forms an important bond between family and school.

Read more she also has some special needs, which you wouldn't know by looking at her, and she had allergies. i cannot express my gratitude to the staff for the way they have handled all of this. i am very happy with the school, and the staff, and the curriculum. my dgt is thrilled to go to school each day. I disagree with with the parent who said they are 'behind the times'. It is an excellent school and my child has received all the resource help he has needed. His classroom teacher was wonderful. The school and staff are A+ in my book!

I find this school to be 'behind the times' in curriculum. My first grade child never has any homework and I don't know how report cards are done but when I listen to him read at home, I wonder how he is getting by in school. What exactly is this teacher basing her grades on?

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Before/After School

Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
