... Read more accepted to college with a scholarship to cover some of his tuition. The teachers are, to a person, gifted educators who truly care about the kids and about us parents. My son will come out of TCS a person who understands and accepts his challenges, knows how to manage them, and most importantly, feels good about himself. Not only does the school address academics but the teachers and staff know what's going on socially and work with the kids to help them develop their social skills. Bullying is absolutely not tolerated, not even a little bit. In addition, the staff pays attention to social interactions among the kids, and when problems arise, try to help the kids sort them out. I have not heard of that level of support in any other school, particularly at the high school level where kids often need the most help. Surfing the net - frustrated and tired of fighting to get your child's needs met? Well look no further. I truly don't know what we would have done had we not found this wonderful school for our child. This is our second year and what a difference! Honor Roll all four marking periods of last year.

My child has been at TCS for 3 years. It's not just a school, it's a community and after a few years, becomes like a family. All of the teachers and staff know your child and they really care about his or her learning and social development. My son has made huge strides in both areas during his time

The staff can and does know exactly what's going on with the kids and they provide the structure to foster a good environment for all. It is a place where your child will find a friend. The Concept School 'saved' our son. He started there his freshman year after years in the public system where he was picked on and not given the help he needed to succeed. He has NLD, and the public schools tried to teach him skills he already had, then called him lazy when he could not comprehend (a
... Read more major factor in NLD). With his enrolling at The Concept School, he has been goven the help he needs, and has found his self-confidence again. He is planning on attending college, and becoming a contributor to society, something we were not too sure he could do before he attended The Concept School. The Concept School does not have extracurricular activities, as the students have varied learning differences, and most are not interested in these activities. They did everything possible to fit my learning skills with a smile! I made the very best of friends there. My hands on learning expirences there will last with me forever. They did everything to get us to learn class trips, games and the nature center in the back. I would say this school is top notch.
