They provide social integration as well as self advocacy and other tools that are far too important today. In addition, rather than division being taught in two days, it's taught over two weeks to ensure success when the need to use it comes up later. Reading and writing strategies are intensive. Woodlynde is an excellent school, conveniently located on the Main Line, that provides support for students from grade 1-12. Our son went to Woodlynde for one year and we did not have a positive experience with the upper school. We noticed many of the teachers are unexperienced and in transition to other jobs. The administration was eager enough to get us started and receive our tuition check, but once we started noting

A wonderfully rich learning community with teachers who address the specific needs of your child and cater to their learning styles. ... Read more teachers are not up to caliper for a private school in my opinion. The education is sub-standard at this level from what I have witnesses with my son. He is capable of much more and we will be moving him now after 8th grade. I have also notice the administration is disorganized, uncooperative and generally not open to new ideas. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
