20 Parent Reviews for Northwest Area Junior Senior High School

After traveling and seeing other schools in other states, I have to admit that when I was there, Northwest Area was an amazing school. I graduated in 2005. Many other school that i have seen not only don't have the caring staff of Northwest, but they also deal with many more problems then we do. They ...  Read more

This school system is failing its children. The school board is inept and the teachers have lost their enthusiasm

Northwest, I didn't appreciate it when I was there, but it's a good school with a great language department. When I went to college and would review classmate work, it was appalling to see the grammatical and spelling errors made by some students from other schools, many also could not identify parts ...  Read more

I think it is a great school Most of the teachers are truly interested in the students and help them succeed They offer a good sports program but few kids take advantage of the programs There could be a higher level of parent involvement

I am a student at Northwest Area High School and Middle school. I am in the tenth grade and have been in the school for almost 3 years now. I have gone to many schools in the past and not a single one compares to this one. I acually don't mind getting up and going to school in the morning! Not many ...  Read more

I am a former student at NWHS. When I went there (1997 - 2001) I saw a lot of racial discrimination among the students. When I confronted the principal about this issue, he did nothing. Maybe things have changed since then, but I doubt it. A small school in a small town with a small mind. I also had ...  Read more
