I graduated from Dougherty a few years ago and although there were some stellar teachers in the Math and English department, Dougherty did not prepare me at all for college. Read these other shining reviews with a grain of salt. Some are written by alumni who went to Dougherty during its Golden Age.

The teachers, students, and staff at Dougherty really do care about you; if you're anything like me and my friends, you'll feel so at home there that you'll joke about pitching a tent in the hallways, because it's a waste of time to go home at 5,6,7,8 PM and then be back the next morning.And, as if all this wasn't enough, you'll have the chance to interact with the beautiful students of Our Lady of Confidence- they'll change your life. Cardinal Dougherty is a great school. It's diverse student body prepares students for the real world. The education is top notch. Cardinal Dougherty was not one of the best high schools in the area. Dougherty had a good student body,however they lacked on the academic arena. Dougherty is definitely the best school to go to. Ask any Dougherty student, they have so much pride for their school. Dougherty has an excellent student body involement. Students are able to develop their leadership skills through extra-cirriculular activities as well as in the classroom.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
