However, if you have any interest in being prepared for the real world where everyone isn't liberal and accepting, take this school off your list. I just started George School in the middle of the school year, and I was blown away. People on campus are very welcoming and friendly. I really do believe George School will change my life forever. I am loving it so far! I'd say if you're considering coming here, go for it!

My two older stepchildren went to George School. They are both currently involved with post(college)graduate studies - one at Earlham and one at Columbia. While we scrambled for scholarships, it was worth every minute of work, and every cent we had (and some relatives pitched in too!). Our children
... Read more would never have had the opportunities they now have without this school. Is it straight-laced-conservative-mold-the-kids-to-society teaching? No, thank goodness, no! Our kids got an opportunity to see what the real world is through this school. They got a chance to discover who they were, what they are good at, what values are important in life, all sorts of real-life lessons that the average school cannot, or will not, supply. Academically this is a top school in Bucks County. George School is a Quaker School and as such, there is considerable emphasis on community service. It is a boarding school with about half of the students as boarders the others are day students. There is a beautiful campus with most of the faculty
... Read more living on Campus. The school isn't cheap at well over $20,000 for day students. On the other hand, the children attending this school tend to be top performers and upon graduation will be have already had the equivalent of college level academic standards i.e., they will be well prepared. George School is an amazing place to be for many reasons. First of all, it allows every student to discover themselves as opposed to being pressured into a certain commonly accepted personality. Each student also has the opportunity to create an academic life that fits their desires and abilities.
... Read more Students can easily become involved in many extracurricular activities, which include very serious leadership roles. But most importantly, the teachers, students, staff and families on campus are all treated as equals and interact with one another all the time. George School integrates people of all different races, religions, social backgrounds and sexualities. It makes a strong attempt to simulate a real world enviornment. The only difference is that at George School everyone gets along and intertwines themselves with others of completely different backgrounds,

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
