Both of my children have attended Walden. It's a caring and nurturing environment that happens to be produce stellar academic results. My daughter could read by the end of her first year and my 3 year old son is on the road. My daughter was at least 2 grade levels above her public school peers

Our children have been at Walden for 5 years. We came for preschool, with plans to go on to our district's excellent public school. But, there is no better environment for a child than Walden. The children receive individual personalized education from teachers who are passionate about children's education

Kids are treated with respect by the faculty, they learn (by example) to treat others the same, with emphasis on conflict resolution by communication. They learn leadership skills and participate in many community service activities. There is no limit to the amount of knowledge a child can gain, and the children exhibit enormous pride and joy in learning. And, there is a true school community. Read less

... Read more without being limited by other peers in the classroom. They are taught individually and not required to 'wait' until the rest of the class has mastered the concept to move on. We had a bad experience with preschool. Teachers not able to control the behaviour in class. Academic program very good (Montessori). Music, art, sports available. Superficially very nice. Not good when problems have to be addressed.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School

Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
