I LOVE Christopher Dock! I'm a freshman this year. I didn't know ANYONE! Everyone is so nice and welcoming! I have tons of friends! Everyone is so kind! The academics are also great! The teachers have total respect for all the students. They believe in us. Its just great! So come and get the Dock experience!

I went to Dock, and enjoyed being with my friends. It was a small school, with only 400 students, so there weren't as many options as a public school could offer. I liked the small classes, but I felt excluded sometimes because I wasn't a Mennonite. Sometimes people would call me an athiest because

When my daughter graduated from Dock 2002 she was totally prepared for college, the level of academics gave her a sense of achieving her goals and gave her sense of who she was her self-esteem academically, soared. The teachers actually work with the students. The Principal was accessible. Homework
... Read more went on for, forever, but if your child plan to attend a college/university, he/she will be totally prepared for it. Personally I found the teachers to be very attentive to the students and their availability to parents, even on short notice was welcomed. We lived quite a distance from CD, but with the level of academics, teacher and parent involvement it was worth the commute and tuition. Read less

Christopher Dock is a very rigorous school with an extremely tough grading system. The teachers actually know their students and are willing to help at all times. Students have very tight cliques, which can make acceptance difficult for some students. Students, however, generally show consideration for one another. Administrative staff is very efficient, but 'distant', a trait not becoming a 'Christian' school. Parent involvement is very active, but limited to money-raising activities and generally 'getting things done'. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
