The administration are excellent and although the economic times are challenging for all schools, I feel my daughter is recieving a great education. Her International Baccalaureate classes are interesting and challenging. Her teachers are overworked, but they care about students and try hard to help ...  Read more

We have alot of opportunities at this school, even though it's small. I love it. :)

newport high is a very friendly school. the teachers are always trying to encourage us and help us in any way they can. they also try to keep us involved with activities at the school such as sports, clubs, and just plain school spirit.

I think that the school's redeeming quality is the staff. The teachers at this school are intelligent, up-beat, fun, and know how to push their students to their full potential. Being a smaller high school, it allows the staff to get to know each student as an individual, and the student has the advantage ...  Read more

Our budget was bad before, but it has gotten even worse. I grew up outside of the LCSD, and comparing those schools (even in Oregon) against Newport High is an absolute joke. What is considered grade level in Newport was middle school level in the past schools I've been to. Almost all the elective have ...  Read more

They area always encourageing us to do better and will set up private meeting if extra helpy is needed. Although money is hard to find! Teachers are droping like fly's and books and ...  Read more
