My children attended Summit for 6 years. They were both very good students at Summit - one of them even made straight A's for the 4 years she attended. When I moved them into Broken Arrow schools, both were severly behind. My 'straight A' student even struggled in BA and made B's & C's this last year.

I was extremely disappointed that we were told by the prinicpal at Summit that Summit students were 1-2 years ahead of public. This is simply untrue. During our time at Summit I spoke with the female principal a few times about my concerns with the level of education at Summit. Everytime she assured me that they were ahead of public school. Again-this was not true! Read less

I agree 100% with the January 16, 2009 and October 2, 2008 reviews. My child moved to Summit many years ago and I should have transferred her out a long time ago. Summit was a wonderful school when Dr. Nelson was in charge. The troublemakers that are there now would not have lasted one semester with

The students were taught to think for themselves and encouraged to speak their opinions but now there is only one opinion and the students are suppose to agree like empty headed robots. Summit was a great Christian School and safe place for your child to attend. The elementary teachers for the most part are the best in the teaching field. However the Middle and High School lack a lot of everything. All they are interested in is sports and the education and God are not important.

So if you are wanting to pay for a small school atomsphere this maybe the place for your children. Just know that drugs, bad language and sex are all over it. Read less
