The High School functions fairly well. Sports are average. The new AD is not friendly or accomodating to parents. If you are looking for a good band program and a poor athletic system you'll love Blanchard.

I have had 3 children at this school. The teachers are great, but I do not think that the administration, namely the principal cares about what is going on at his school. I have 1 graduate, 1 who dropped out and one currently enrolled

I think that the teaching staff is great. I've really learned a lot. Saddly I can't say the same sports wise. As a girl in the school system I can say from experience that the girls have a disadvantage. The only sports provided for girls are basketball, track, softball, and golf. As for the boys:

I realy think this school has a great campus, and school spirt. The school should show the same support for all children not just community leaders or friends of the teachers. Also the lady's are not given the same respect in regauards to sports and other activities.

The school spirit among the student population is at a most deffinite high even if the teams aren't that great. The girls sports are not as well supported compared to the male side of sports, but there are also fewer sports for them to participate in. The library and computer classes are average. The rest of the programs are excellent in my opinion even though I have not finished high school. I for one am glad in many ways to be a part of the student body. Read less

Most Teachers are really good. We lack in the Coaching areas. They seem to use the 'cut down' method of motivation. Doesn't work with this generation. Administrative teams seem to have the us and them attitude. Girls really have a disadvantage here as far as amount of money spent on girls sports etc.
