Their preforming arts department has been growing. The young people that take part in the activities are more confident and willing to try things they wouldn't otherwise attempt. The bonds they are making with one another are very strong, so strong that those who have graduated are coming back to assist
... Read more with whatever they can. That they remain interested enough to help those that follow says alot about the program. I would love to see them able to acquire some of the the things they lack, as well as replace equipment that is out dated, so that this program can continue and grow. Read less

Very poor parent/teacher/administration communication system. Very poor plan to meet and even identify students at risk. Alot of 'talk' about bullying intervention without any real intervention. This school district is not meeting the needs of their students educationally.

I agree that Lisbon has a lot to offer to those who qualify, and for those who don't sorry do the best you can. We have a lot of teachers that honestly care about the students and there are some that if your child struggles they are left behind. I also think the open enrollment is a terrible idea,

DAH is a great school, known for its academic programs. However the favoritism is a big issue. As well as the fighting in this school. I have had students at mckinley and dahs.I would not send another child to this school.There is bulling and favoritism.The same students bully ever year and get warned every year,the next year they start off fresh again so it just continues.I've seen cheerleader wear sandels and very short shorts against
... Read more the school dress code and not be sent home for it but let a non-cheerleader wear it and their parents are called. The school also has open enrollment which makes classes way too large to get any extra help for students that are behind.Parents like myself have opted for homeschool and we live here and pay taxes for others.I'm afraid my children are not safe, or getting a good education.Which is sad thing for our community. Other activities like Speech and Debate and Academic Challenge also provide opportunities for students to become involved. There are also several groups for parents, which keep them involved with the school as well. Parents are aware of what is going on. Read less

As far as the staff are concerned It is my opinion that they are very bias. Some of them show special treatment to certain students and families of the community. Advanced Placement
