... Read more in the nation to travel to Scotland to perform at the Fringe Festival. The music programs offer a lot, too. Music is taught comprehensively from an early age. Later in middle and upper school, the music department allows some students to take all three music classes: strings, band, and choir. In high school band, there is a concert and jazz band (although we do not have a marching band). As for extracurricular activities, Wellington excels in this, with a record number of students and area kids participating in the summer options program. Read less

As a junior at the wellington school, i would pick no other place to attend. the teachers and staff along with the students make each day more enjoyable. The activities and community feel that The Wellington School offers is beyond anything other high schools do. I am proud to say that I love my school

Being involved with TWS for over twenty years has given me a perspective of the school few have. I have seen the school from its infancy, hard times and during its current Capital campaign. ... Read more my three children anywhere else. I have read some of the comments from disgruntled parents stating that if you are not a Big Money supporter you do not get things your way. Well I am Not a big money supporter and I am very happy with the school and the education my children are receiving. As for extracurriculars, if a child wants to participate they will have an opportunity. True, the school has gone through administrative issues, what school hasn't? No school, puplic or private, is perfect. Wellington is as close as it gets. Read less

I have three children, one graduated from St Charles, one is currently attending CSG, and I had a daughter that just completed her first-year at Wellington. If you have a boy, send them to SC. If you have a girl, send them to CSG. While I found that most of the faculty are caring, I have not been
... Read more impressed with the administration at Wellington. Furthermore, SC & CSG have far more resources than Wellington does. Perhaps Wellington will be a great place in about 15 years. Children of parents who donate to Wellington are treated much differently than those that give smaller amounts (or not at all). My daughter is transfering to CSG. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Before/After School

Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
