So far my children have attended pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st grade at Metro. Every year has been wonderful for the girls. They don't attend on a voucher. We chose Metro because others had praised the staff for being personally involved in their children's well-being, both spiritually and academically.

She seems to know the name of every child. Parents are encouraged to participate, and the teachers keep me up to date weekly. To see the children also experiencing life spiritually with their schoolmates is a joy, whether or not your're Catholic. I am happy that I can send my children back next year. Read less

My daughter is in 1st grade at the Boniface campus. I am happy with the education she is receiving there. She attends under the voucher program. My daughter is a typical but bright child. The principal greets us by name to this day, long after we first enrolled and never made me feel unwelcomed. We are non-denominational, but I am pleased by the fact that my daughter is learning about God and his love. If I lose my voucher, but am back to work, I would pay full tuition to keep her there. There is no program available for the gifted child. My experience is that egalitarianism, in the name of diversity, is emphasized more than individual achievement and excellence. In my opinion, a balance is needed. Communication from teacher to home is poor. The traditional notes and/or phone calls to

The teachers seem to be dedicated but more in tune with those with greater needs (good) but virtually neglect the achiever (not good). Phone calls to teacher and principal were not returned in a timely manner. Religion classes are not held everyday but only a few times a week. The practise of the faith appears to be relegated to the periphery. The school once enjoyed a sterling reputation but perhaps it's best days have past. We intend to change schools when possible.
