... Read more year after year. The foreign exchange program is extraordinary. The kids learn firsthand about other people and places. Our children have visited Argentina, Mexico, and Finland. We have hosted a girl from Malaysia. An exchange with China is planned for this year. The school is supported solely through parish contributions and tuition paid by the parents. The art, music and phys ed departments are very good and a wide array of sports are offered. Read less

After a move to the area Nativity was recommended to us. Everything seemed good with the school initially; the principal & teachers were very nice. Our child was enrolled in the school at the end of the month around the 22nd. I enrolled in the payment program & received the tuition letter on the 10th
... Read more of the next month & to our surprise & aggravation our first payment was due on the 25th of the previous month, three days after our child started school! To add frustration I received an unprofessional phone call from the business manager chastising us for being late on a payment & stating that we needed to worry about our priorities. I was angry & disgusted by his tone & behavior on the phone; he was rude, unprofessional & condescending. The education piece of the school is acceptable, unlike the business side. Read less

Academically things seem ok but this school is very clickish. Everyone knows everyone and also knows everyone elses business. Parent involvement is encouraged as long as it does not challenge or question the system. If this happens your information is not kept confidential, it is obvious that everyone

My child was ostracized by other children, seemingly at the instruction of some parents and it seems that the vision of a christ-like atmosophere disappears suddenly if you are not basking in the glory of the school. I think that it lacks confidentiality and that because alot of the staff and parents grew up togther or live in the same neighborhood they cannot seem to make up their own minds about you. They take a situation that may not have been glowing for the school and ostracize you and possibly your child because of it. Tread Carefully! Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School
"Extended day" programs where the school day is extended before and after school to accommodate working parents. These programs should not be confused with common after school clubs or athletic activities.
Gifted and Talented

Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
