Since this is a public magnet school, the kids are exposed to an enriching diversity, which is a reflection of our city. During all of the transitioning with new school buildings, you would think that most parents would roll with the punches of being displaced. I have two children attending Dater, both of whom have been there since kindergarten. I have been extremely disappointed with the education my children are receiving. I have found that unless the parent is in the classroom several times a week to keep up on their child and the teachers then the child ends up getting lost. Also, the temporary building on Grand Ave. is less than desirable. There is absolutely no parking for parents and there has been a lot of crime on the campus. Read less

... Read more program is rather regiorious. Children are told what is expected for a certian grade in upper school. We have excessive arts available. After school opportunities are available but at a rather high cost. Parents are expected to participate yet it is not regulated well. Read less

Advanced Placement
