My daughter attended kindergarden at VRES. She loved it. I was very pleased with so many aspects of the school - from curriclum to communication. I know she was in good hands and received a great start. Mrs. Parker is an exceptional administrator, and her faculty and staff follow her lead!

This school is top notch. In response to the comment on March 12, 2009 those words could not be farther from the truth. This is an elementary school, not a daycare. In this day and age schools are locked and visitors must sign in at the office. Parents cannot visit school during the day, this would

There are many ways for parents to be involved by joining the PTA or volunteering. There are many parent volunteers in this school. If you want to be an involved parent then this is not the school for you. Parental involvement includes attending holiday parties and concerts, and it stops there. My daughter is going into 2nd grade this year. She loves going to school. We all love the teachers and administration. My only complaint so far is the amount of supplies we are asked to bring in each year...it's a bit over the top and wasteful.

My son was in 2nd grade this year. In September we moved from the Bronx where he attended a Christian private school with very small classes from 3 years old. I was concerned about his transition to a non-private school. He had a great year. His teacher was extremely creative and supportive. The activities

My daughter, now a 1st grader at another school attended VRES for kindergarden. Coming off a wonderful full day pre-k program, it was the worst experience ever. She learned more in pre-k than in kindergarden at this school. The class sizes are large, everything is hectic and hurried, even holiday parties

I couldn't wait to pull my daughter out at the end of the year and send her back to her former private school. With all of that said, I have heard wonderful things about the 3-5 school and have a son graduating from VHS this year and they have been great. Same school district, worlds apart, go figure...
