If you go up against her with concerns about your child she blows it off and ends the meeting..It isn't in anyway way is it a nurturing environment, teachers are uncaring,principle only out for her self.. What to you expect when a parent doesnt pay their tuition time, she doesn't allow them into a Halloween party or calls them out, what loving money hungry principle..So if you love your child don't send them to this school, there are so many other excellant private school out there.Take it from I'm having alot of issues, save your sanity and time don't go somewhere else heed the warning.. ... Read more need time to get those numbers together and that if I cared about statistics so much, that I and my family probably weren't a good fit for the school. If it's a good school, they would have those numbers readily available and be proud to show how they're doing. We felt like they were hiding something. Our Lady of Lourdes School in West Islip is a wonderful environment for all children to learn. The faculty centers around student learning and pushes each student to reach their highest potential. ... Read more all beginning in Nursery and are now in the Academy. All 3 children learn differently and OLL helped all 3 find their way. Sometimes, it is hard to hear that your child needs something special. Your knee jerk reaction is to say "not MY child", but you need to take a step back and let the professionals guide you through the steps to get your child help. With both my middle and youngest, this was the case and with the added benefit of AIS, both children are doing very very well. Finally, if you are looking for a place that caters to each family and their desires, then NO catholic school is for you. Part of the allure and strength of OLL is that they carry the discipline that you start at home all the way through the day. Children are held accountable for their mistakes, but the school also knows that part of growing and learning is making mistakes. And learning from them. Read less

Mrs Krol is an Excellent school leader She's totally committed and dedicated! Anything the students need academically, she finds a way to get! Great at writing grants and keeps increasing our technology. She's tough on the teachers and holds them accountable but they don't seem to mind. Everyone is 100%

AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
