I recently graduated from EWS and I would never trade the experience that I got there for anything. Academically it was challenging and prepared me well for the demands of college. Socially my friends are my sisters and it was such a supportive environment to grow into a woman in.

... Read more and capacity in other disciplines. There is tremendous joie de vivre on campus. The girls are terrifically supportive of each other. Teachers are so dedicated and talented. The course work is demanding but there is an incredible network - led by the advisor who advocates for a small number of students at any one time This is a culture in which the students are encouraged to aspire to do great things - and the number of ways they can excel and contribute and excel is enormous. EW is a good school. It has a very good art program; while, the quality of other classes varies due to the teachers. A big campus with a very beautiful views (looks like a castle), right now there is a constraction going on, so in a year the school will look even more beatuful. It's a nice place to live

Although there are only about 300 students, there are many international students from different countries such as Mexico, Spain, France, Gerany, Russia, Ukraine, and Asian countries. But if you don't wanna pay 20,000-30,000 a year or don't wanna be in all-girl school and you can be a day student, then you can find a public school with the same/better education (I don't think you can find better views though)...like Niskayuna Hight School, for example...peace. :) Read less

Music and arts are fabulous. Academics are fabulous - at or above college level. Quality of teachers and courses varies but you have choices so you can select well if you're savvy. Lifelong friendships made.

The school has excellent extra-curricular programing and offers plenty of opportunity for parental involvement. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
