My two children attended Robbins Lane. Overall, we have had a positive experience. Mostly excellent teaching staff...some extremely effective and nurturing teachers. Only one bad experience and that teacher is no longer at the school. A great deal of parent involvement and a strong PTA. On the down side,
... Read more I have not been pleased with the principal and have heard many other complaints by other parents. However, I have heard that she is no longer on staff and has been replaced by an interim principal. There has been no information about what direction this is heading so more information is needed. Another heads up about the school is that some of the students, like their parents, can be snobby and cliquey. There are lots of warm and wonderful families as well...just need to choose your associations wisely. Read less

Good school but I'm not thrilled with the Principal who does not seem interested in the kids, but prefers to take the easiest way out for herself or whatever is most convenient to herself. Most teachers are very dedicated here and are excellent. Of course there are some bad apples. District should revise
... Read more policy on teachers who take extended absences during the school year. If a teacher does not start the school year then the permanent substitute should be allowed to remain to finish the rest of the year, because both the teacher and the kids have already established relationships and know each student's strengths and weaknesses. Changing teachers in the middle of the year, especially for elementary age kids, is so disruptive and counterproductive. Of course teachers are allowed leaves and retain salary and job, but the policy should be re-examined to factor in the kid's educational needs. Read less
