I have two children attending the school, however i beieve the school is poorly managed, the children are not getting the academic time they need in the classroom. Teachers are frustrated, students are missing out and parents are outraged at the situation.

The school need a complete overhaul. The teachers are great but there is very little to get excited about. The only difference between this school and public school is that with St. Catherine, you are paying a tuition.

The school lacks disipline. Students are not challenged enough. Computers in the classroom are not being used by students. There is a limited technology program offered. The computers used in the 'lab' are at least 10 years old and have not been updated since. Many teachers are not certified and do
... Read more not utilize an updated curriculum. Students are behind public school students and are not prepared for H.S. when they graduate. There are limited extracurricuar activities and qualified teachers leave and are replaced by young teachers who do not have any knowledge of how to use discipline in the classroom. The principal has not tried to impliment a more current curriculum. Students are disruptive, rude and lack respect. I would save my money! Read less

I am a current 8th grade student at SCS. It is a very fine school. Teachers are willing to help when you need it and considering it is a small school everyone knows anyone. The Principle has good leadership quality and she is strict yet wonderful. I can say after about 9 yrs. in SCS it has been home.

My experience with St. Catherine over the years has been somewhat good with the exception of poor leadership, no help with tutoring, no organized sports or extra-curricular activities. There is a computer room but no internet access and the library has a limited selection of books.

This is not one of the better Catholic schools in the area. I've found that children in nearby 'failing' public schools are receiving more advanced work than my child has. There are no extra-curricular activities and the gym and auditorium are one and the same. The library is small with a limited selection.

I graduated from St. Catherine of Sienna in 1985 and I always cherish the great memories. The teachers were great!! It is a family community which helped me greatly in my endeavors.. I am now an attorney and I owe my desire to learn and discipline from the 8 years I attended St.Catherine's. P.S.
... Read more My younger sister also attended St.Catherine and graduated in 1990. Ironically, she went to college and became a teacher and St. Catherine hired her to teach. The funniest part of it is 2001 she was teaching alongside teachers who taught her 10 years earlier. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
