What we're getting for the money is inferior to what the public school in our district offers. Teachers in particular are below average and the emphasis is on religion and sports, not academics. My daughter is in her sophomore year at OLM, and she is in love with the school. She came last year from the public schools, and was accepted with open arms. The students are very caring and understanding, and the school really nurtures those values. There is really no bullying, and the only problems that I've heard about with that is with the current Junior class ('09). Another benefit is the guidance counselor. They truly listen to your daughter's needs in school and for college. I have been very impressed with how they place girls for college: not for prestige, but for their personal fit. Read less

I am a current Senior at Mercy, and I have gone here from 7-12. I came from St. Louis School in Pittsford, and I don't regret my decision.
