... Read more amazing programs after school such as Drama, Dance, Band, and a small Haitian Club. There is a huge choice avaliable for middle schools. You don't face alot of peer pressure and its just an extraordinary school in the whole. We get to take trips to Camp Broadway, JIB Lanes and we got junk food, and even baseball games. The kids are so friendly. You can make a friend in a minute! The graduation ceremony is also outstanding at a church and their is also a senior dance and a yearbook. I love 135!!!!!!! Read less

This school is a very good elementary school. I think it needs some new 5th grade teachers. Many of the 5th grade teachers are amazing and others are tired and put alot of pressure on the kids. Some of the 5th grade teachers I like, others I dislike. They need some new ones. Overall, this school is okay.

This school has a safe and caring environment. Students use the programs Everyday Mathematics Online and Renzulli Learning. Renzulli is probably the best expericence I ever had. ... Read more Mrs.Kohl, Ms.Gabrielsen, Ms.Duncan, Ms. Cruz-Lopez, and Ms.Lachman. They really are woking hard and students are showing progress. This is the best school ever. Ms.Nelson is also amazing. She is serious and funny which helps drive interest in subjects. I am graduating this year. I will truly miss this school more than any other. The middle school options are amazng. So are the extra activities. The principal made the kids write to soldiers each year. He is excellent. There are no discipline problem students in the school. This school has mostly a popualtion of Guyanese, Filipino, and Indian. If you consider your children hanging around a majority of these type of kids, this school is for you. There is a black american club to allow black students who come from different countries such as Haiti to stick together and learn
... Read more English together, just to give foreign children a little warm welcome. They do international dancing (which I loved!) Ms.D, the dance teacher was awsome. We did Indian dancing,hip hop, and others and had so much fun. This year, we are working on the play of The Little Mermaid. The boys in the class are doing band and the kids in chorus are going to take a trip to a hospital and sing a Christmas welcome to sick people. I think that is just charming. ... Read more chorus, and PS.135Q got gold! Also, in grades 4 and 5, students get to learn a choice of language (Russian, Greek, or Spanish.) These clubs are also free. They also prepare you for middle school by giving strict homework and uniform rules, detention, and switching of teachers rules in the 5th grade. They had the program of Dancing Classrooms come to the school for grades 4 and 5. It was a wonderful experience that helped teach the students respect. For the senior year, 5th graders had a senior dance, a yearbook, and a beautiful graduation ceremony. Read less

This school has an excellent academic structure. The children are well behaved. The afterschool program is also very good and is a big help for working parents. My son is in Kindergarten and he gets a lot of homework every night which is great it keeps his mind stimulated. I can see that he is learning

Advanced Placement
