Hunter is a school that pushes its students to work harder than they usually do. It has great teachers and classes and the children are all mature at a very young age. we learn to deal with the real world so we are ready whenever it hits us. Hunter has a great environment with minimal high school drama.

It's not a private school. We're funded by the college and not by the board of education or anything else so we definitely lack funds. Some teachers are amazing, others aren't but it's a good environment to grow up in. It's like a college but without the stress

Hunter is awesome and gives you the best education you could ask for! plus it's a very accepting and wonderful environment, great community spirit and just big enough.

It is one of the true meritocracies left in education. The intellect of the student body is only rivaled by the passion of the teachers. In my opinion, our nation's greatest school.

It's by far the best school ever. I went there for 13 years and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. It's above and beyond anything else you'll find out there. You couldn't ask for a better school.

We are smart, accepting, and are so much better than all the schools in the area.

This is not a private school, it's a free public school for gifted kids but very hard to get into: for 48 spots they had 1550 applicants in 2008.
