We couldn't agree more with the last review about this school As we had a similar experience with our 2 children. We thought they were doing well, until we transferred them to another montessori school and realized that one of our children who should have been reading, was not able to. It seems they

It took our child few months in the new school who are more focused on academics to start reading and doing comprehension and math. We believe that academics are not emphasized in West Hills Montessori school , and they have other interests such as camps, fund raising , an other activities which in our opinion are important but second to academics. Fortunately , our children are doing much better, and they are exposed to much more varied academic content and they are advancing very well. Whoever gave the school five stars, I think was not based on academics at all..and it is very untrue. Would I recommend this school? NO...if you are serious about giving your children the best montessori education , we wouldn't recommend wasting anyone money and time attending this school..look somewhere else Read less

That being said, everything else about the school is great and it's amazing to see how our daughter's flourished! Read less
