Baccalaureate is extremely challenging academically. One student put in our newspaper: 'BSGE- a social life, good grades, and sleep. You can only choose two.' Some teachers are incredible and can really open our minds to think about the entire world, but many teachers have absolutely no idea what they

Also, the size makes social life at BSGE awkward, and by the 10th grade everyone hates each other. While the younger grades are enthusiastic about knowing everyone, the older grades travel in small groups of 2 or 3 and rarely talk to anyone else. Our school is also incredibly disorganized and things and events are always falling apart. I would not recommend BSGE for anything besides academics. Read less

My child started this school this September in the 7th grade. The school is all about academics, and quite serious about their mission of molding school kids into students. There are some teachers who are excellent in their field and in handling students. Other faculty members are impossible to communicate with, clearly inexperienced, childish and lazy.

The overflowing homework, projects, exams and community service requirement prevent students from socializing outside of school. Because it is a small school, the environment can be suffocating. Being in classes with the same people makes it easy for everyone (including teachers) to know one's business. I realize that while the younger grades are enthusiastic and friendly with each other, the older grades are barely alive and separated into groups that barely intermingle. Read less

This school is amazing. The teachers are brilliant and the admin. treats everyone like family. After school you can spend your time eating with the tech advisor or the student aid in the cafeteria. The principal's door is always open and there are always students sitting around talking to him. Everything

If you're interested anything the school doesn't offer you can start your own club. At this school you don't only get a great education but you get an even better experience. Read less

This school was new, and the building was small, but other than that, it was awesome! Truly and really awsome. The education was wonderful...I learned loads of stuff and they had this strange way of teaching and grading, but it all flowed so well together, all so insync with each other. There were

It was very safe, in a great neighberhood, and the best thing about it was that it felt likea community. We were a little over three hundred...so it felt like we were a family, everybody knew everybody, and everybody was involved in something as well as parents. Plus, very clean and great library! I'd reccomond this school to everybody! Read less
