i would have to rate this school 4 stars. the last 6 generations of my family have all went there and i have 2 brothers and sisters that have graduated and my grandmother even taught there for over 20 years. i think the long beach high school is great and gets better and better each year! :) go bulldogs!!

its a good school. yes there are problems but can you find a school where there isnt? im a junior there and there are soo many classes to offer.. there are even college courses and some classes you can take and they will count for college. The school is good, except for the principal involvement. He in fact is very uninvolved. Overall, discipline is firm-children will learn their lesson here.

Teachers have a 'laissez-faire' attitude, not caring about students, genuinely caring only about getting paid. Parents not encouraged to get involved. Long Beach High is a great school. There are so many extra-curricular ativities for the kids. Theres sports, drama, model congress and many other fun and educational clubs. Long Beach High has great teachers too!

* In 2007-2008 New York used the New York State Regents Examinations to test high school students in English language arts, math, global history and geography, US history and government, living environment, chemistry, earth science, physics and several foreign languages. The results for English language arts, math, living environment, chemistry, earth science, physics, global history and geography, and US history and government are displayed in GreatSchools profiles.
