I guess I'm one of the few parents who rate a school based on the reading/math scores, not only on how 'nice' the staff is. Thank God my children are top students or they would be lost. ONLY 34% of the children in 8th grade are reading and doing math at or above their level! This is terrible! To say

My son currently attends JHS 231! I just love how dedicated, and effective Mr. Brisbane, the Principal and other members of the staff for his academy are. I am very satisfied with the school. My son, loves the school, teachers, and the activities. He is new to the school, he never felt out-of-place.

... Read more recently graduated, loved the school, teachers, and the extracurricular activities. Although she was one of the few Hispanics within the school, she did not feel 'out-of-place'. The learning environment was very authentic, stimulating and enriching. She gained a sense of purpose and self-worth in order to be an active participant in our ever-changing world. My two other children also enjoy attending Magnetech JH.S. 231 for the same reasons as mentioned above. Way-to-go 231! Read less

Advanced Placement
