My rating of this school I based on averages. Some teachers at this school I find to be exceptional and other, though teach well, have issues with spending extra time to help kids as they complain about this in meetings that it is an over burden to do this. Don't get me started on the Principal. Honestly,

I feel the school does well in teaching academics, but it lacks continuincy as far as the next grade following what the prior grade teacher did. Each teacher does their own thing. The school lacks the finances to produce further activities like public schools do. Some classes have too many students where as others have too little for the students to have enough social interaction within their age. Read less

... Read more and researching many many schools in Westchester and NYC, I decided to enroll my children in ICS. ICS offered a well rounded and well balanced curriculum for my children that would provided them with solid instruction in the basics as well the opportunity for creative, exciting and interesting educational experiences. The teachers at ICS truly care about both the child's intellectual and emotional quotient. The children in the school have a fabulous enviroment to learn in at the school. AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School
"Extended day" programs where the school day is extended before and after school to accommodate working parents. These programs should not be confused with common after school clubs or athletic activities.

Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
