10 Parent Reviews for Hilton High School

As a former student I can definitely say that the Hilton CSD is one of the best districts in Monroe county. The school has prepared me and my colleagues to excel in universities. Many in my class attend world class universities such as Cornell, New York University, MIT, and the University of Pennsylvania. ...  Read more

Reading the responses, I'd like to see more reported by parents and less by students, or a separate section for student comments. As a parent, i could not ask for a better program for my child. He is very involved in the music program, which is top-notch, winning Grammy awards the past 2 years, going ...  Read more

I believe this school really needs to adapt better teaching methods based on a childs needs and not on what the school wants for test scores. When the kids dread going to school each day it makes for a bad learning environment.

The academic programs are plentiful although they focus to much on the athletic program. Its not that I do not like the athletics it is just that I think that we need more academic interest. The school is mainly focused on sports. The Teachers are very kind and funny. But sometimes they are a little ...  Read more

Diversity does NOT exist in this school. The level of education does not prepare students for college. The teachers are out-of date and out-of touch with current research and teaching techniques. Of course, they would actually need to pay the teachers a better salary first if they want to be able to ...  Read more

I believe that the school system itself needs a little work but over all it is a good school. The teachers (for the most part) know what they are doing and if a student applies him or herself then they will make good grades. My daughter is a senior and has attended Hilton Schools all her life and not ...  Read more

I seem to get nothing but lip service from this school when I question things. They are always free with the statistics when been questioned but offer little else. This school district needs revamp of the LA and special ed.
