If you want a quality pre college prep for your child/student, then this school is not for them. Faculty is mediocre -at best, facilities are out dated and general atmosphere dismal. I graduated from HHS and - needed immense prep when I entered college. I received that and went on to receive advanced ...  Read more

My third child is starting their high school career here. I have had little complaints about Hicksville High School. It is a diverse body of students which gets your child ready for the real world. If you as a parent, do your job and parent your child and not expect a school to do it for you, then ...  Read more

This School is terrible at best. Besides the "extra curricular activities" It needs a total overhaul. Most schools on the Island offer more vocational alternatives, for different students with different needs. They will discipline them until they end up being neglected instead of helped. In the year ...  Read more

Both my children went to Hicksville High school and did fabulous. My daughter graduated and has a wonderful career great job. My son is graduating this year and is hoping to get into one of the top universities. Anyone that has a problem with the school will have a problem in any school.

This school has some very dedicated teachers who serve the students well. The fine arts department is one of the best in the district and has won numerous awards over the years. The bad news is the administration is, at best, inept. Ms. Leak, a newcomer to the school, but not the district is the only ...  Read more
