My parents gave me a choice between Burke or a public school and i decided to go to Burke and not once do i regret attending burke. It may be pricey but its worth every penny. Read less

I have 1 daughter who graduated from Burke in 2008 and another in the class of 2010. Both girls loved the school. I have been pleased with the fullness of their education. Students are not just academically prepared, but civically prepared as well. When we chose parochial education for our children

Read more 13 years ago, we wanted their studies to be overshadowed by religion in action (grace, prayer, confession, math, do unto others, etc.) It was important to us that our children were reasonably disciplined and learned self-discipline as well. For the most part, Burke teachers supported a 'moral conscience' without judgement. This school was an extention of what we began at home. So often this is lost when we send our children out of our homes to school. Read less

I am a Senior, and I absolutly love Burke. I started as a Freshman, with a public school background. Burke has tons of after-school programs, and if you need tutoring, there are other students or teachers available most of the days. It's worth it.

I am a student at Burke Catholic for the first time this year. I never went to catholic school before, this is a first for me. The first couple of days I didn't like it very much, but now I am totally in love with it. There isn't anything that could possibly make me want to go back to public school.
... Read more I made new friends by the fourth day. This school isn't a float through school though. You need to work to do well. If you don't work, you will fail, and thats not very good. Both of my sons have graduated from Burke. One is currently in law school, the other will begin a pre-med program at Loyola in September. My experience has been excellent. I hold Burke Catholic in the highest regard and will be sending my daughter there in September. They value academic excellence, self-discipline

Extra-curricular activities are available and the Principal is very open to any program or activity that will benefit the students academically, spiritually, athletically or culturally. Parent involvement tends to be higher than in public high schools that I am familiar with. Overall, well worth the cost. Read less

To those of you who had bad experiences with the administration or the financial end of Burke, please look again. The principal changed 2 years ago and the new office staff is more friendly. Also, the school offers a number of payment plans and financial aid, too, I've heard. The extra-curriculars are here for those who wish to participate and are guided by people who really care in the art, music, sports and theatre departemnts. Great strides have been made in recent years in these areas. Academics are straight-forward and the kids get a great basic education. Students

There is always a range of teacher excellence just like everywhere else from excellent to good to bad, but the students help each other when necessary. There is community spirit and the kids do make friends considering they come from all over. Overall, I feel the teachers must like to teach here and care about the students. Advanced Placement
