Mineola HS is a school that has something for everyone. With two children in the school I am fortunate to have such caring teachers and administrators looking out for my children. They push my children to succeed while boosting their self esteem. The Fine Arts Dept. with the marching band and drama

I strongly disagree with the comment that Mineola HS is better than any Catholic school. Only a handful of students come out of Mineola HS adequately prepared for college. The percentage of Mineola HS graduates that even bother to go to college is low compared to surrounding districts. Year after

If you have a son and you can afford it, Chaminade HS is definitely the better choice in Mineola. However when comparing Mineola HS to all Long Island high shools, I would rank it somewhere in the middle of the pack. Read less

I, too, am not a parent but rather a current attendant of mineola high school. I am currently going to be a junior and see great aspects of Mineola High. Looking at different high school's, mineola definitely has far better extracurricular's, even though their sports program might not be the greatest.

Read more overall, the teachers are excellent and have made an immense impact on my life. the students are more than friendly and the whole Mineola HS community is warm and welcoming to newcomers as well as oldcommers. I would much rather send my kid to this HS rather than any catholic school. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
