i attended st anastasias for 7 years. it was good at the beggining. then the new principle took over. everything became a mess! teachers are unable to control students! there is very little hw. & they are not preparing you well for high school. that is why i left the school. when i went to the other

I have been attending this school all my life and for parts of my life it was decent buy for the most part it was honestly horrible. One year we had a teacher where we could do just about anything we wanted to do. There was chaos in the classroom and no one to stop them. Students would be sent to the

... Read more junior high, and a new principal replaced the old one, everything seemed to go downhill. Many of the students began to lack in discipline and structure. Teachers were unable to control the students from doing simple things such as chewing gum. Also, the school began to see a mixture of good and bad teachers. I wouldn't exactly suggest sending your child to this school. St. Anastasia is not what it used to be. It is just another NYC public school with the exception that we wear a uniform and pay a tuition. Read less

An academically focused school. 98% of the teachers have a masters degree from highly acredited schools. This school has a small student body so students are given individualized attention from both teachers and principal. More extracurricula activities needed.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course.
