this school is the boom trust me im in that school. There is no other school like this. A lot of compititions contest and cool events. Diffrent acadamys they are Princeton!Harvord,Cornell,Stanford and Yale. Many kids this school has everything. I'm proud to be a I.S.61 student.

I am a former student of I.S 61 and my son currently attends the school. I am a member of the P.A and on the schools leadership team. I visited the school during school hours and the children were unruly in the class rooms and very noisie. I think that the principal and the A.P's should really tighten
... Read more up on the children, they are certainly a rough bunch and the teachers dont seem to have any control. The dress code is a very good idea but should be inforced. Parent participaiton is verv low. Test scores are also very low. Overall i think the staff is trying but they need to try much harder. Read less

Advanced Placement
