overall the school is pretty good. The add thing that I find about this school is that the lower calsses k-1st grade have to go to their classes by them selves. As far as I now kids are supposed to line up and their teacher is supposed to take them up. Also what I find add is that the child as such
... Read more a young age if gets hurt go to the nurse by himself. What if the child falls down the stairs! The school is clean and parents are cooparative. there is no yard so the kids dont get outside time in the lower school. The PTA is pretty good and the teachers are very cooparative. P.S. 230 is excellent school. They provide the gifted program also. There are a lot of activities. Parents get involve with the school in the good level.

I am the parent of two boys attending PS 230. Dylan is 5 years old (he turns 6 March 4th) and he is a student in Mrs. Flaherty's kindergarten class. ... Read more to, listening, interpreting, analysis, discovery, struggle (trying to figure out a difficult answer) and success. I was pleasantly surprised. The test lasted for approximately 1hr and 15 minutes. Toward the end, Dylan began to tire but he had made it. Mrs. Flaherty is a very engaging teacher. She keeps the kids growing on multiple levels while orchestrating them through K - math (numbers 1-100, early addition and subtraction, using money), word identification and word stretching (early attempts at phonetically sounding out new sight words or early reading). Advanced Placement
