I am a proud parent of PS 115. My daughter has attended the school since Kindergarten and is now graduating in June 2009. She has had nothing but positive experiences in PS115. All of her teachers were wonderful and true educators. They always put the children first. The Discovery Program not only

From the Safety Agents to the Principal, Mr. Pinsky, PS 115 overall is excellent. Of course there is no perfect place however I would definitely recommend this school to any parent. I must say the school is great compared to the other local schools. Not much to compare it to. Not a great sense of community within the school although 5 of the 8 teachers in each grade are good. Discipline is not very good although there are 2 deans. The deans are not very helpful to the teachers.

Gifted programs are great depending on the teacher of the 12 gifted teachers 9 are great. Ask if the teacher is certified or a permanent sub. You have the right to know! Parents have the right to know everything that is going to in the school. It is our job to set the schools expectations. Read less

Our son just graduated from PS115 after attending since kindergarten. Mr.Pinsky, the school principal is very involved as well as his assistants and other staff. Safety and discipline are well maintained. Our son was in a gifted program since 1st. gr. so he had extra special teachers through the years.

Ps 115 is an immaculate school. The principal Mr. Pinsky (nice tie)and teachers put the children first. They have good gifted programs and other extracurricular activities. My son is a fifth grader and is in the gifted class, there he's well challenged. The teachers work very hard to prepare the children
... Read more for the state test. My daughter and niece had graduated from PS115 and continue doing well in middle school. My niece earned the highest math score throughout the fifth grade on the state test and was awarded for it. The only downfall with the school is that there need to more parent involvement. The PTA volunteers are kind and nice especially Grandma. She's every child's grandma. Each child walk through the door at ps115 is been loved by everyone. The children always greeted Mr.Pinsky by saying 'Good Morning Mr. Pinsky, nice tie hoolala!' Read less

Advanced Placement
