my daughter just started going there and i find that school is not what they say it would be my first pta i though it was a great school but now i'm thinking of moving my daughter she did not get her student id nor a locker and homework forget it i don't if they do any class work

I attend HSPS and i will be entering the 10th grade. Public Service is a great place to send your child honestly because of their impressive curricula. This is a good school for students who are really dedicated to learning and planing their future education after high school. It's my first year and I've been introduced to many programs and activites that are helpful later on while applying for colleges.

I worked at this school (non teacher) and I can say that it is a very good school. I would feel very confident in sending my children there!

High School for Public Service had the highest graduation rate in Brooklyn. HSPS is a very impressive school.

Bottom line, the school is not a good place to send your children. The school staff is very unsupportive, this includes teachers as well as guidance counselors. They are totally uninformative and rude when you call the offices for any information. I will be relocating so hopefully the new school that ...  Read more

* In 2007-2008 New York used the New York State Regents Examinations to test high school students in English language arts, math, global history and geography, US history and government, living environment, chemistry, earth science, physics and several foreign languages. The results for English language arts, math, living environment, chemistry, earth science, physics, global history and geography, and US history and government are displayed in GreatSchools profiles. Students must take at least five Regents Exams in order to graduate.
