i believe that when the school was under the care of Sr. Cecilia the school has since gotten bad. my nephew attended the school until 1st grade and then was pulled out because of the lack of organization.

There is one class per grade, and at the time there will be a good principle. She has taught in the school for over 20 years and knows all the children by name. She is well respected and she keeps order in tact among students and facaulty. Parental involvment is always encourage and at times mandated.

Unfortunately, parents are paying the teachers salaries for an education that is only a disgrace. When I experienced the troubled school and the teachers behavior which was worse than the children's, I immediately transfered my kids. I was only able to sustain such type of behavior for one month. ... Read more teachers only knew how to do yell and treat the children as if they were animals and belonged in a zoo. The school is not an enviornment for a developing child to be in for 7 hours per day. I feel the school should be closed before it continues to further damage the children's education. This school is a mere example of why NYC private and public school system continuously fails the parents, the district, and the whole city. I am only ashamed to know that this is the education our future leaders have to endure. I can only blame the archdiocese and the district for letting this abuse go on in the school system, and for giving the teachers who are not the dedicated one's the power and opportunity to mistreat these children. While St. Martin of Tours has dedicated Teachers, it lacks in leadership. The children in some classes there are not motivated and are disruptive. There are not extracurricular activities or clubs except for the after school program

My son, use to go to this school since pre-K. The school has changed (to the worse) since sister Cecelia left. This school keeps very bad students in this school, which i feel should have been kicked out. They have older students minding younger students, which i feel it's the teacher's job to do.
... Read more My son,(in his class) had girls kissing boys without a teacher in present. Their where fights everyday, in the lunch room. Overall, the students are out of control. Some of the parents didn't get involve in parents meetings. Once the principal saw that their where little parents involve in the parents meetings, he would cancel the meeting for another time, which never came. Read less
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School
