I graduated from this school in 2008. I was very sad to leave because I was there since Kindergarden. P.S. 97 was..a great school! Until that horrible principal Bornkamp came. She needs to be removed. The dedicated teachers and staff, who deserve better treatment

My child has expressed to me how unhappy everyone is since she's been principal. Even how children have overheard her make ethnic remarks and speak badly about parents. Its a shame this is an example of leadership we are giving our children. Most of all, a disgrace that with her behavior, concerns & complaints from parents have went unnoticed! Read less

This school is ok as far as NYC elementary schools go. The quality of education really depends are who the teacher is. I question the dedication of [my daughter's] teacher.
