As a graduate of this school I feel I received an excellant education. After Seton I went onto Broome CC and was much further along compared to other students from public schools. The personal interest the teachers took in me to ensure that I succeeded has made me the success I am today.

I am a former student and attended SCC. The math and science programs prepared me for my engineering program at one of the toughest engineering schools in the country. I am now a successful businessman in the Semiconductor industry and owe much of my success to my education at Seton.

... Read more a step daughter in middle school and I see what goes on in public schools at even younger ages now. The teachers were all wonderful and would stay after school with you if you needed help. If you failed a test, they were there to help you. I do think the dress code was a little too strict. If I lived there still, I would send my child there. Read less

I am an alumni of SCCHS and am very dissapointed with the education I recieved. Many parents alike are now sending their children to public schools because of the rising costs and loss of programs and values at this school. Sports, teachers, classes etc are being ereased from the picture. The teachers
... Read more hired to teach are just as upset as the parents and have no desire to teach. They claim to have a 99% rate of students going on to college after graduation but almost half of that never actually make it because of the lack of critical courses that are mandatory for college entry. This school has very high standards and teaches our children about morals and what can happen if you don't walk ,talk, and act in the way God has spelled out for us. My two children went to a public school for over 8 years and taking them out of the public school was the best thing that ever happened
... Read more to them. Seton is not anywhere close to dealing with the politics in the public school. Every school has good and bad, but the Catholic school is nowhere close to having the problems we had to deal with in the public schools. Have the time in the public schools my kids were goofing off or watching movies. I am very proud of Seton and am thankful that my children are there! Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School

Vocation/Technical Curriculum
Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
