... Read more school. The first impression I got was from the office staff. They greet you with enthusiam and knowledge. Which was hugely lacking in the last school we attended. I like the fact that the principal isnt a micro manager. The teachers are wonderful about letting you know early on, if your child is having problems, either socially or academicaly. We regard this school as the fun school and are grateful to have been selected to attend here. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who is thinking of applying for a magnet program. The magnet program at Walter Bracken is excellent. The teachers, staff and principal are always helpful and really care about the success of my children. At this school children are encouraged to learn and their creativity is not discouraged. They manage to do this while still maintaining high expectations

My son is going to enter the 2nd grade this year, and has been enjoying Bracken since Kindergarten. All of his Teachers have been exceptional, as well as the staff.I couldn't be happier that he is attending Bracken once again, there is a special vibe you get once you enter the campus.The parent involvement

Bracken Magnet is a wonderful learning environment for both children and families! It is a very welcoming school, that cares about everyone who walks through the gates. Mrs. Decker is a dedicated principal. It is so nice that she will always approach you and makes it a point to know everyones name!

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
