This school is absolutely absurd. The rules are ridiculous and take away the fun that should occur in high school. My son has told me many stories of the political factors that play into the administration's role. One student was told that he could either "tell on his friends" or "be expelled." Not very

I attended Bishop Gorman when I was of high school age because I wanted the best education I could get in Las Vegas. I thought Gorman would be the answer. It was not. While the classes were interesting and challenging, the attitudes of some of the staff towards me (as a minority and slightly overweight)

I stayed only one semester at Gorman, the constant teasing and bullying done by students and some staff made it unbearable, and I was forced to leave. My niece has been accepted to Gorman; I pray that she has a better experience than I. Read less

When my child(who went to a public middle school) first started at Gorman, they were amazed that the teacher didn't have to stop teaching even once to take care of students disrupting the class. 100% of the time was devoted to teaching the students and allowed for a great learning environment.. The

There has been a major change in the school administration at Gorman. The previous Head of School was unceremoniously fired by the Diocese; in fact, the Diocese gave him 10 minutes to leave the building. The new acting Head of School, Aggie Evert, is one of the most competent administrators you can

I don't envy Mrs. Everet's position; it's a real turnaround situation. Thankfully, Gorman has a wonderful student body and alumni community. I think there is a lot of hope, as long as the alumni make sure that what has happened in the past two years never happens again. Read less

As an alumnus, I found that Gorman offered superior academic, athletics, and extra curricular programs to that of their local counterparts both private and public. My time there was unforgettable and the relationships that I have maintained since are paramount. One of the unparalleled advantages

As a public school student through middle school, I recall discussions that I had with other seniors across the valley, who were approaching graduation. The friends that I would talk to from the CCSD schools asked, What are you going to do next year? whereas Gorman students would inquire, Where are you going to school next year? At Gorman, collegiate education is implied and expected. It was this mentality that took me to an Ivy League school from which I graduated in 3.5 years. I would encourage any child or parent in the greater Las Vegas area to enroll at Bishop Gorman. Read less
