Its funny how parents want to complain but have no idea what it takes to run a school! Mr Zuniga is doing his best with what he has. Running a school with as many students as we have is not an easy task. I believe the teacher and principal are doing a great job and should be commended for that! I belive

I love the new principal! You are never going to make everyone happy. For our family, we have enjoyed the new principal's flexibility and willingness to listen. There are some amazing teachers at this school, we have been blessed with great teachers for our children. I do not feel like it is fair

We must remember that it is not up to the school, we parents bear the responsibility of producing well rounded, hard working, and socially adept children. If you don't participate, I imagine it could seem like there's not a lot of leadership/organization. If you attend theses events, you see how much time the parent association puts into the school, and how much the teachers and principal are receptive to and respond to that effort. As with any public school, you get out of it what you put into it, but this school goes the distance--it's provided a great education for my kids. Read less

I find it surprising that both of the first reviews were written so soon into the school year. I disagree with them completely. The principal is a warm, funny, wonderful man, and is very child-centered when deciding what is best for the school. APS also has a new superintendent, and many of the things

I suggest that the disgruntled parents who wrote these reviews get involved in the many clubs, PTA activities, or classrooms and do something positive and proactive rather than being negative. I believe once they know more about what is going on at the school and better understand it, they will feel better. As for the 3 well-respected teachers, I know of only one PE teacher and an unqualified and ineffective counselor that had a hard time adjusting to the changes and quit. Read less
